My first sun conure!?

DO NOT leave it alone for the first week! The first two weeks are the most important! You'd want to spend as much time as you possibly can with your baby! A vet visit can range from 40 to 300+. For the cage... Yea that'd be fine. Add a little bell, birds like bells. Also you'd want a nesting box. they need to sleep. Fruit and vegis are great but the food at the pet store has vitamins that birds NEED to live and grow strong. When the bird is still a baby you need extra special formula you can buy. At night and during bad storms you might want to cover his/her cage up with a blanket. That helps them calm down. This is MY opinion. I think you should start with something like a parakeet. Sun conures bite and they bite HARD. just warning yah.
